The fireplace is a symbol of hearth and home - a focal point in any room that can be a major decorating challenge. So now, in this "off" season for fireplaces, displaying treasured objects or collections is a great idea, but the trick is to edit them carefully. Lots of little objects like photographs, flowers, candlesticks, potted plants can look like clutter. Make groups of uneven numbers and you have created instant eye appeal from across the room. Alternate larger items with small objects to bring the eye in for a closer look. Larger items placed on the mantle need to be simple while smaller items need similiar aspects to the larger ones such as shape or color. Mixing them together gives interest. With some careful thought, your fireplace can be just the focal point you are wanting.
And if you want the ambiance of a fireplace even in this off season...the fireplaces offered by Brymons offer the beauty of flame with or without heat! Now is a great time to check them out, so by the time you feel that chill in the air...you'll be ready.
