- General Decorating Tips
Often times our customers have a difficult time putting their personal style into words. You may know what you like, but getting that idea from your head into ours is often the obstacle in finding just the right piece. We suggest you start a file. When you are looking through catalogs and magazines and find a sofa with the perfect lines or a rug with a pattern you love; tear it out and pop it in your file. How about a color that catches your eye? It could even be the color of your favorite skirt. Wear the skirt to the paint store and grab a color swatch that matches it and add to your file. Inspiration does not have to come just from decorating magazines. As the file grows you will begin to see a trend in the styles that you love.
Even if your project is down the road, it's never too early to start. Once you are ready to begin shopping in earnest, you will be prepared. Bring your file with you and let the pictures help you create a beautiful room that is uniquely you.
