Less Is More

"Less is More" is a common trend in decorating today. Yesterday's decor included lots of small pieces gathered in an area to make a statement. Today, you want pieces that make a statement on their own, or within a group of 3 to 5. Think of scale and substance with each piece; if you stand across the room and cannot see each accessory, then that piece is too small.
And art isn't just for the walls anymore; art can be found in the form of lamps, either floor or table styles, or on the floor in the form of an ineresting area rug. It not only gives activity to the eye, but is soft and comfortable underfoot.
