So take a few moments now to make your home a nice place to be if-and when-you can't be outside. Take a less-is-more attitude toward your decorating; a sitting room in summer feels cooler with fewer furnishings and helps keep the sticky season at bay. Make more space appear available on your coffee table by reorganizing...gather small objects together on a large tray instead of strewing them haphazardly across the table's surface. And to escape a decorating rut, rearrange your room; move some of the furniture so that when you're seated your view is out a window. Then, if you have a fireplace in your space, move it again as the temperature drops this fall, so you can watch as the fire dances.
