Decorating Challenge: Downsizing the Guest Room
Our customer was in the process of redecorating their guest room and she was looking for furnishings to fit the small space. As she browsed, she came across a daybed we had in stock and fell in love with it. When we checked the dimensions, she was concerned that it would be too large for her space.
Brymons Solution: Suitable Furniture with Colors that Make the Room Feel Larger
Our decorator was able to go to the customer’s home right then; taking with her the dimensions of a few different daybeds. The two worked to tape off different sizes of the beds on her floor to help her visualize how much space would be taken up with each of the options. She still loved the largest of the daybeds and it did fit in her room but visually took up a large portion of the space. The answer for this customer was to stick with the daybed she loved but utilize a monochromatic color scheme to make the room feel larger.
