Decorating Challenge: Decorating that new Room Addition
After recently adding a new great room to their home our customers were feeling overwhelmed with all the choices they had to consider. Their addition consisted of one large kitchen/dining/living area and trying to make it look like there was a plan made them feel “out of their element.” They had many suggestions, from many sources, and didn’t know what they wanted.
The lady who painted the walls said: “Black leather.” The man at the hardware store said: “Brown leather.” The husband wasn’t completely sold on leather. So they came to Brymons.
Brymons Solution: Our Certified Interior Decorators bring Easy, Complimentary Inspiration
When our decorator discovered all that they had been through, she suggested a consultation. She visited with the couple to find out what their likes and dislikes were and how they intended to use the area. The choices made included dining room seating, area rugs, a double-reclining sectional and recliner, an artwork focal point, media center and several accessories. At our decorator’s suggestion they used prints on some of the upholstered pieces, rather than the neutrals that would have been “safe” for such a large project. And in order to save money, our decorator suggested buying a coordinating piece of fabric to reupholster an existing piece to “fit into” the whole look. Our customer stated that by having a consultation, they ended up with something more exciting than anything they would have had the courage to do on their own.
